Week 1: Body Horror
January 1 - January 7
New year...new you...literally. Sometimes the changes we go through are mental. But sometimes the changes are physical. Start 2024 off with some body horror!

​Week 2: Puppet Horror
January 8 - January 14
These horror movies feature puppets because puppets are, more often than not, kinda creepy.

Week 3: Surreal Horror
January 15 - January 21
Throw everything you thought you knew out the door with these surreal films filled with twists and turns. Or are just downright bizarre.

Week 4: 2010s Horror
January 22 - January 29
The rise of streaming changed the horror genre forever.

Week 5: Hammer Horror
January 29 - February 4
Founded in 1934, Hammer Films Productions is best known for the Gothic horror they produced from the 1950s to 1970s.

Week 6: Black Directors
February 5 - February 11
Celebrating Black History Month by spotlighting Black directed horror films.

Week 7: Love & Horror
February 12 - February 18
Love is in the air...and blood and guts! These movies are equal parts sexy and scary.

Week 8: Italian Horror
February 19 - February 25
The plots don't always make sense, but what they lack in storytelling, they make up for in style!

Week 9: Aliens
February 26 - March 3
Aliens man...aliens...

Week 10: Women in Horror
March 4 - March 10 
Spotlighting all the horror directed by women in honor of Women's History Month.

Week 11: 2000s Horror
March 11 - March 17
With the news becoming increasingly horrific, the film industry had to adapt. Enter the rise (and fall) of torture porn...and a bunch of other horror movies too!

Week 12: Spring Fever
March 18 - March 24
As allergy season falls upon us, let's celebrate the beauty of spring with some horror.

Week 13: Sequels
March 25 - March 31
These follow-up films rarely surpass their predecessors, but we're giving them the spotlight anyway.

Week 14: Horror Comedy
April 1 - April 7
Laugh AND scream alongside these horror comedies.

Week 15: French Horror
April 8 - April 14
Proceed with caution as some of the films on this list are considered the most violent films ever made. You've been warned.

​Week 16: Folk Horror
April 15 - April 21
Fear and foreboding await with horror that uses the elements of folklore.

​Week 17: Video Nasties
April 22 - April 28
In the early 80s, a number of films in the UK were criticized for their violent content and considered obscene and subjected to censorship. These films were called "video nasties".

Week 18: Black & White Horror
April 29 - May 5
It's not your TV that's messed up, that's just the way it was made.

Week 19: Mommy Horror
May 6 - May 12
Moms can be scary...but these moms are REALLY scary! (And a few awesome moms to mix it up)

Week 20: Indonesian Horror
May 13 - May 19
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and this week we're celebrating AAPI by diving into Indonesian horror. 

Week 21: 90s Horror
May 20 - May 26
Gone are the masked slashers (well not completely) and horror began to reflect the real-world fears back at us.

Week 22: Zombies
May 27 - June 2
Brains...

Week 23: LGBTQ+ Horror
June 2 - June 9
Celebrate Pride Month with these LGBTQ+ directed and themed horror films.

​Week 24: Daddy Horror
June 10 - June 16
Happy Father's Day to all the dads in horror. Well...maybe only the good dads. 

Week 25: Summer Scares
June 17 - June 23
It's summertime and the weather is hot! 

Week 26: Underwater Horror
June 24 - June 30
Dive deep for these films that show the horror of what lies beneath the bodies of water around us.

​Week 27: 80s Horror
July 1 - July 7
Possibly one of the most popular decades for horror, the 1980s brought us memorable slashers, cult classics, and supernatural films.

​Week 28: Sweaty Horror
July 8 - July 14
You can just smell these films by how sweaty the actors are. 

​Week 29: Cults
July 15 - July 21
Horror movies about cults...not cult horror...you get it, right?

​Week 30: Indian Horror
July 22 - July 28
With a massive movie industry, horror from India can really deliver on the scares.

Week 31: Anthology Horror
July 29 - August 4
Several short horror films packaged into one larger film. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Such is life!

Week 32: Cannibal Horror
August 5 - August 11
Cannibalism has the potential to upset even the most seasoned horror fans.

Week 33: Full Moon Horror
August 12 - August 18
For over 30 years, Full Moon Features has brough us low-budget horror masterpieces including Puppet Master, Subspecies, The Gingerdead Man, and Evil Bong.

Week 34: Horror in the Woods
August 19 - August 25
Don't go into the woods!

Week 35: Werewolves
August 26 - September 1
These films will have you howling at the moon.

Week 36: Carnival Horror
September 2 - September 8
We all agree that carnivals are creepy, right?

Week 37: 70s Horror
September 9 - September 15
The decade that built some of the most successful franchises of all time. (Also, selfishly my favorite decade of horror!)

Week 38: Hispanic Horror
September 16 - September 22
Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with films from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

Week 39: Fall Horror
September 23 - September 29
As the temperature starts to cool and the leaves being to change color, spooky season is right around the corner.

Week 40: Southern Horror
September 30 - October 6
Go down to the American South for these horror stories.

Week 41: Witches
October 7 - October 13
Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble!

Week 42: Indigenous Horror
October 14 - October 20
We don't have many Indigenous horror films, but the few we do have tell important stories.

Week 43: Vampires
October 21 - October 27
Don't invite them in.

Week 44: Halloween
October 28 - November 3
Trick-or-treat!

Week 45: Slashers
November 4 - November 10
Chainsaws, knives, and hedge trimmers abound! There's no shortage of films to watch this week.

Week 46: 60s Horror
November 11 - November 17
Horror in the 60s was filled with haunted houses and psychological thrillers. Suspense and dread make these films classics we still love today.

Week 47: Found Footage
November 18 - November 24
The genre we've seen be born and evolve alongside modern technology.

​Week 48: Thanksgiving Horror
November 25 - December 1
Thanks to Eli Roth, we have we may continue to get new Thanksgiving horror movies!

​Week 49: Book Adaptations
December 2 - December 8
There's gonna be a lot of Stephen King on this list.

​Week 50: Thai Horror
December 9 - December 15
Thailand's film industry and rich culture deliver many hair-raising movies.

Week 51: Winter Horror
December 16 - December 22
Grab a blanket and cuddle up because these horror movies will leave you chilled.

Week 52: Christmas Horror
